Bonino, still hospitalized at Santo Spirito Hospital in Rome. Following a consultation between her attending physician, Dr. Claudio Santini, and the doctors at Santo Spirito, it was decided that Bonino will be released from intensive care tomorrow and transferred to a private facility. This is what is stated in the medical bulletin updating the condition of the +Europa leader, who was hospitalized at Santo Spirito Hospital in Rome last Monday for breathing difficulties.
Yesterday's bulletin stated that Bonino, 78, had not yet "completely overcome the respiratory crisis.
At the Santo Spirito hospital they are continuing to carry out the necessary tests and verify the reaction to the therapies".
In previous years, Bonino had suffered from a small cell lung tumor, diagnosed in 2015 and recovered in 2023. In October 2024, the former minister was admitted to the hospital in Rome's historic center for respiratory problems, also requiring intensive care.
