"La legge di Lidia Poët" is moving from Rai1 to Rai3, following the ratings decline of the first four episodes, which were deemed inconsistent with the flagship network's objectives. Therefore, tonight, Rai1 will not air the final two episodes of the series' first season. Instead, the film "Il sesso degli angeli" will be shown.
The final two episodes of the series (the first season of which was already available for streaming on Netflix in 2023) have been rescheduled – Adnkronos has learned – for Friday, September 11, in prime time on Rai3.
The broadcast on Rai1 of the first four episodes of the series, which follows the story of the first woman to practice law in Turin between the late 800th and early 900th centuries, was greeted with less than stellar audience figures: yesterday, the average audience for the two episodes broadcast on Rai1 was 1.508.000 viewers with a 9.9% share.
The first two episodes, broadcast on Rai1 on September 1st, were watched by 1.549.000 viewers with an 11.2% share.
The series, directed by Matteo Rovere, consists of two further seasons of 6 episodes, released online on Netflix in October 2024 and April 2026 respectively. But they have not yet been broadcast on free-to-air TV.
