(Adnkronos) – "Within the NewPrinces group, Plasmon represents a center of excellence; it is the only Italian manufacturer of infant formula. It has a hundred-year tradition and has represented nutrition for young children for many generations. Today, we are investing in a major project to revitalize the supply chain, particularly by enhancing all the supply chains, the most valuable ones, starting with milk, to bring an excellent product to Italian tables that cannot be replicated with other solutions."
This was stated by Angelo Mastrolia, president of NewPrinces and Plasmon, speaking today in Sabaudia at the institutional workshop 'The Politics of Action to Protect Children'.
"Promoting the agri-food supply chain," Mastrolia continues, "means focusing on supporting small producers who typically produce excellent products, but who need support to ensure that these small-scale productions, which are highly fragmented in Italy, survive and are sustainable in the medium to long term.
Today, protecting small regional production chains is one of our goals." This is also why "we engage with the institutions," he specifies, "to convey the great value that the entire NewPrinces group represents in Italy, with more than 17 plants and a total of over 13 employees."
To ensure the nutritional well-being of children, according to Mastolia, "the first thing is to work on supply chain products, preferably local ones, and especially on Italian product supply chains, something that only we are able to offer today: other brands," he concludes, "produce their products in other parts of Europe, and in any case, very far from where we are."
