Adnkronos (Adnkronos) – The sultry heat could soon be a thing of the past. Thanks in part to the heavy rains currently affecting parts of the country, Italy is putting the high temperatures behind it, and tomorrow, Friday, September 11th, it will be almost entirely under green, the zero alert color. Everywhere except Bari, the only city out of 27 monitored with a yellow alert heading into the weekend.
This is the picture painted by the latest heatwave bulletin released by the Ministry of Health. As of September 9th, four cities are still struggling to definitively address the heatwave: Bari, which is expected to be under an orange alert (level 2, one step below the maximum) both today and tomorrow, Thursday, September 10th; Campobasso, which is under a yellow alert today (pre-alert) and will return to orange tomorrow; and Ancona and Perugia, which will leave the yellow alert tomorrow and move to green.
According to IlMeteo.it forecasts, a period of unstable weather will begin today, Thursday, September 10th, and will continue on and off throughout the weekend. Widespread, locally heavy rain is expected in the next few hours in the Northeast and Central Italy, continuing in Lombardy, Tuscany, and Liguria, with more sunshine in the South. Friday will be unstable in Central Italy, but worsening in the South.
